From the start of Denise Squier’s gorgeous velvet voice, to the last note, I was hooked. And I hate to say “you know she sounds just like…”, but really, if Olivia New...

The heart and soul felt vocals of Denise Rene' Squier are out in front and are reminiscent of Stevie Nicks.
Squier's vocals meld well with the tonal quality on the guitars.

Diane Sheets - Vocal Consulting Group
I…am very impressed with your sound and vibe

Bio
D & The Situation is a four-piece Classic Rock band from the Brazos Valley area.
The band formed in 2018 from a collection of head-banging rockers who met through various methods, but all wanting to play great music -- and who just couldn't get enough Heart, Led Zeppelin, Guns & Roses, Bon Jovi and Journey. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses heavy 80s guitar rifts with wailing vocals and thumping bass lines with out-of-this-world drumming. And, their show combines active lights with a lot of audience participation that will make you want to sing along and dance all night.
Band members are:
* Denise Squier: lead vocals, keyboards, harmonica, rhythm guitar
* Dave Sabella: lead guitar, keyboards, 80s shredder
* K2: bass, vocals
* Scottie Johnson: drums
The band has been celebrated for its dedication to presenting a fun, energetic show -- one that invites the audience to sing along to familiar songs, even when the band puts a new twist on them.
All players are multi-instrumentalists, giving the band expansive range. The band will play venues within a 100-mile radius of the Caldwell-Brenham, Texas area, and responds to booking requests within 24 hours....Period.
**Special Note: Squier was a finalist for the Texas Music Awards (TMA) “Female Vocalist of the Year” in 2008, losing out to a young Kacey Musgraves, but was TMA’s “Top Rock Vocalist” that same year. She retired from singing soon after receiving that title to be “Mom”, until 2018 when she joined The Situation. Her vocals have been compared to Ann Wilson of Heart (Diane Sheets, Vocal Consulting Group, Nashville, TN) and Stevie Nicks (John Tenting, World Voice News, Los Angeles, CA).
