THUMP. Our neighbor's sweaty body collided into our shared apartment wall. Ashy term papers skidded across a wine stained coffee table. "Damn it Joe, turn your bass down." 5 nights a week we played music in an overpriced brownstone in Minneapolis. We dropped out of college, we dropped out of law school, our pants got tighter.....Joe just wouldn't turn his bass down...

Dandylion Warpaint is a five-piece independent band from Minneapolis, MN. Determined not to be placed in one particular genre, Dandylion Warpaint’s music displays elements ranging from Rock and Electronic to Jazz and Hip Hop, with songs deeply rooted in classic song structure. Individually, each member brings an array of influences that manifest in melody driven, passionate male vocals; harmonically and texturally rich atmospheric synth and keyboards; inspired, effect-driven lead guitar; motivic, jazzy bass grooves; and intricate drums often stylistically guided by electronic influences—the unifying characteristic being a shared flair for the musically dramatic.

With a fourteen-year age range amongst its members, Dandylion Warpaint embodies an ever-youthful spirit amidst its growth and development toward new
forms of musical expression. This collective coming of age is reflected more explicitly in the group's lyrical content. From social commentary to the morality of love and lust or a jaded confrontation with the cynicism of our shared existential angst, the attempt is honest. The result is a wide-eyed, naive, "come as you are" experience that celebrates youth with the gift of music through a sort of secular religiosity that is Dandylion Warpaint.
