Danee

Danee is an exciting new group composed of two girls and a guy. Kim, Ray, and Latera have been together since 2008. The group met while auditioning for a play, all being cast, and realizing how well they clicked together. Later on Latera and Kim realized that as little girls they were raised in the same neighborhood, one street apart from each other, yet never crossing paths.

Danee’s music is a crossover of many styles because each member of the group brings a slightly different influence, each independently strong, but when blended together something entirely different and fresh. Danee’s musical motto is “If we don’t wanna listen to it, then we won’t make you listen to it.”  Their sound also bridges many different genres. On one side they produce and sing music that is a blend of Pop, Country, and R&B. On the other side they sing music that is a blend of contemporary christian and modern gospel. Within the group they all write, arrange, and produce all their own music. Both Kim and Latera are avid lyricist and Ray produces the music.

Danee is also a proud supporter of the USO and has been touring for the last two years stateside at various bases around the country, from the Naval Air Station in Florida to Camp Atterbury in Indiana. Danee is also to be featured on the Bobby Jones Gospel show on The Word Network. In August they had the honor to open for James Fortune in Lanham, MD. Their first group single "Change" just released in september of 2011.
