Dan Flynn

Dan Flynn was born February 11, 1983. He began playing mkusic at a young age and quickly joined bands in junior high school. Forming the band Eastbound, he immediately created a local buzz about them, packing VFW halls around the South Jersey area. Following Eastbound, Jeremy Friday Night came into play. This band toured around the tri-state area and gained an extremely loyal fanbase. Jeremy Friday Night was on their way out due to personal and creative differences and Dan was asked to join Late Night Desperate. This band already had a local following and proceeded to tour throughout the northeast and midwest. They were signed to Pumpkin Eater Records based out of South Jersey. After feeling like Late Night Desperate was going nowhere due to lack of motivation and drive, Dan formed Tree Fort Shakedown, which was a band mostly created just for fun. They played around Philadelphia and New Jersey and released an EP.

All this time Dan was honing his own skills and creating his own little nitch in the world of songwriting. He began to realize that all the songwriting ability he had was not portrayed as he wanted within these other bands, so he set out on his own. He began writing songs and in about 7 or 8 months he had a very strong collection of songs which turned into the Tires and a Toothbrush EP. This EP is available from Dan at his shows or just by e-mailing him, and he'll gladly do an impromptu performance at any gathering. He is a captivating performer and really hits home with a lot of his audiences. Currently, he is the lead guitarist for an up and coming indie rock band called On Mono. He is writing new material all the time, and plans to release another EP sometime this year. Keep your ears open for this happy and humble songwriter who will be writing infectious melodies and choruses for much time to come.
