Dangerboat

Dangerboat is a Canadian indie rock group formed in Hamilton, Ontario that plays mostly alternative rock. The group is made of vocalist and lyricist Jordan Stuive, composer and guitarist Jordan "Jendall" Hoek, pianist Brad Geleynse (also backing vocalist), guitarist Jason Tamming, bassist Paul Schuit and drummer Jared Lindeboom.
The band cites intellectually stimulating outfits such as Pink Floyd and Flight of the Conchords as major influences, and minor influences including 90's punk and classic rock. Dangerboat is known for their clever, yet nonchalant lyrical style, simple and catchy melodies, and aggressive behavior, as well as their hit songs.
The five members of Dangerboat, from the beginning, found themselves in an evironment full of HARDCORE fun. Days went by and as the months passed lifelong relationships were formed. One snowy evening in mid-December, after a beer fueled night courtesy of Kelseys, the members of Dangerboat found themselves discussing swimming polar bears (among other things). An unaccompanied song was created, and was soon followed by musical notation. Dangerboat had been birthed. Since that eventful night, the men of dangerboat have been working ceaselessly on an EP that will redefine the preconceived/delusional idea of what university bands should sound like. We are men. We play music. It is good.
