"Dangerboy – ‘Glendale’ | @dangerboyla"

Dripping with conscious flows, raptured lyricism, and life-changing energy, Hip Hop duo Dangerboy pays homages to West Coast lyrical greats both old and new with his track Glendale. Influenced by greats like Warren G and Dr. Dre, Dangerboy salute Los Angeles Hip Hop culture by producing a funky, timeless record.

Comprised of Max and Ellis, Dangerboy bloomed into existence after the pair met while on the subway headed to school in East L.A. Ellis was studying saxophone while Max studied classical vocals and it was in those rapturous moments on the subway that Dangerboy was born; giving birth to an array of electric funky sounds, genre-defying melodies and a punk rock, Hip Hop groove.

Dangerboy

With Willow and Jaden Smith’s bassist, Lawrence Shaw, and Solange Knowles’ saxophonist, Nathaniel Collins, Dangerboy pulls vintage rap flavor and new age conscious Hip Hop together to create Glendale. The third largest area in L.A., Glendale serves as a microcosm of Los Angeles to the rest of the world; just one city in a much larger world giving birth to some of the greatest Hip Hop and urban music creatives to ever live.

Self-produced and written, Dangerboy illuminates the darkness from coast to coast with Glendale. A manifesto of West Coast creation, Glendale is a reminder of the influence Los Angeles Hip Hop has had on the genre as a whole and opens the door of opportunity for what’s up next for the City of Angels. - Hip Hop HQ

"Introducing the Duo of Dangerboy"

Max and Ellis are the duo that make up the group Dangerboy. Their meeting was orchestrated by their attendance at an arts school in Los Angeles, California to which their love music and the art of making it began the Dangerboy unit. Ellis is a jazz head whilst Max was deep in the vocal trenches. Both found they had chemistry as they exchanged notes with each other and this spearheaded the beginning of something magnificent. When I got their mail, scepticism crept in because the running thought was that another PR guy has come with stuff I will not like but I was quickly proven wrong when I played Roof. That love for chill hip hop especially with the horn riffs and saxophones quickly got my attention and then Max was in pocket with the flow. Woah is probably the track that shocked me the more as I was expecting another chilled hip hop beat but Ellis shows that he can diversify his talent and had Max doing bits with the rhymes. You will want to check out Dangerboy and what they are bringing to the table. Oh, I had the privilege of listening to the new single about to drop and you will understand why I cannot front on these guys. Check them out. - Word is Bond
