Bio

Dan Glenn is a singer-songwriter based in Boston. Musically inclined from a young age, Dan grew up playing the tenor saxophone and played in the Belmont High Jazz Ensemble, developing a love for jazz. It was in his freshman year at Boston College that he began playing the guitar and writing songs. In 2006, he released his first album, Burning For Music, and spent some time sharing his music with the world at various venues, including the historic Club Passim in Cambridge, MA and Radio Bean in Burlington, VT.

In 2007, Dan moved to Karmê Chöling, a meditation center in Vermont, to live and work on staff. Although he took a break from playing in public, save for a few open mics here and there, he continued to write songs during his time in Vermont. This past fall he returned to Boston with a new collection of songs, ready to be heard. He is planning to record a new album in 2012.

Dan’s influences include Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Dave Matthews, and Josh Ritter. His melodic style is infused with a quality of tremendous appreciation of all the beauty and complexity of human experience in all its resounding joy and heartbreaking sadness.
