And then there’s this band the Danglers. They’re kind of new, they’re like punk meets garage. Really young, very energetic on stage which is what I like to see. They have a lot of NYU fans. And I know the younger the crowd the better it is for the bands. -Kerri Black

Formed in the summer of 2002 danglers wasted no time reinventing and rejuvenating the New York rock scene. Danglers have gained a rabid following with their thunderous beats and undeniable melodic groove. Their explosive live show landed the group a headlining slot at L.A.’s Roxy theatre only two weeks after their inception. Shows at prominent New York and Washington D.C. clubs soon followed.
The band followed up their initial live success with a stint at Threshold studios, where they recorded their demo with engineer Kenny Dykstra (the Strokes).
With a rare energy and raw passion, danglers have taken a minimalist guitar, bass, drums line-up and created a passionate and dynamic take on rock; “reminding everyone who listens what it truly means to be punk.”
