Biography

Daniel Erb has a passion for music. He lives it, breathes it, he sacrifices himself to it, he immerses himself in it, and all he asks is you come with him. Whether it is his resounding guitar riffs, or his atmospheric piano ballads, his rich voice beckons you to follow him along a path of what life can bring.

A Columbus Ohio native, Daniel had music in his life from the beginning. "I grew up with music all around me. My dad was in bands for 20 odd years. I can remember sitting in my living room as a kid and listening to The Beatles on vinyl. He guided me in every way to make sure I was on the right path. He introduced me to the most inspiring music and taught me so much. He also knew when to step back and let me go on my own."

Daniel first picked up a guitar at the age of 14. "I started out slowly but began teaching myself pretty much everything I know. I remember sitting in my room for hours sometimes as much as 8 or 9 hours just playing guitar until my fingers were bleeding."

Daniel began to find his own voice; he drew from all that life had to offer and began crafting his own originals. "Everything I write is from personal experience. Everything I sing happened to me in some way or another. I won't bullshit you, I tell you exactly what's on my mind and I think that comes off into my music as well."

In 2003 Daniel assembled these originals into an EP entitled “The Bedroom Recordings”. From this small and unassuming start he began to play show after show wowing crowds with his highly crafted, original covers, and his emotional originals. His following began to build to the point where he was a regular at local clubs.

In 2004 he cut a 5 song Demo entitled “These Are Lyrics to a Song.” This small demo would take him big places. Opening for national acts such as Ryan Cabrera, Ari Hest, Keane, The Roots, Ingram Hill, and Flogging Molly, Dan has already begun to grab attention across the country.

In 2005 Daniel is poised to make a huge leap into the national touring scene. With his recently acquired drummer Dave Benedic he’s ready to record his first full-length album and hit the road.

He’ll rock you with his cock out and it won’t even faze him. Catch a live show you’ll thank yourself.

Lyrics

One Second Over

Written By: Daniel Erb

There was a girl, standing in my doorway with her two brown eyes
We would talk, the words came off the lips, they were so soft and her two brown eyes

Oh I do anything
For you, it’s not who I am
It’s what I mean to you
It’s what I mean to you
No, no, no, no

So you’ve got issues, things you can’t explain
They are your issues, I’m not gonna interfere
I’m not that kind of man to get into two other peoples plans
I am a shawdow, passing you by you don’t even notice
And that’s why I wrote this
things are on my mind
And you can not see and they have nothing to do with me

Oh and I do anything
for you it’s not who I am
It’s what I mean to you

Things are complicated, oh
and I think they need replaced
I knew you always hated, oh
When things were replaced
From what they all could be
From what they all could be

Now we could swim in an ocean
We could talk in the rain
We could be so careless my love
And forget everything
Now we could swim in the ocean
We could talk in the rain
We could be so careless my love
And forget everything, I wish

Wait For The World

Written By: Daniel Erb

So you’re tired of moving all the time
Helpless notions that I can’t understand
Things to me felt so right
Take the world out of your hands
Can’t you see

Wait for the world
You have to believe me
But you’re not listening anymore
Don’t try the lies
It can work
You’ve got my number
But you’ve heard it all before

I see that tear as it runs down your face
Don’t break the glass again
The words you chose were harsh and numb
These things are in my head
Can’t you see

Wait for the world
You have to believe me
But you’re not listening anymore
Don’t try the lies
It can work
You’ve got my number
But you’ve heard it all before

Sometimes it’s not working out the way we want
Don’t think you’re alone
Cause I’ve been here all along

Wait for the world
You have to believe me
But you’re not listening anymore
Don’t try the lies
It can work
You’ve got my number
But you’ve heard it all before

Don't Ask For The Ring

Written By: Daniel Erb

You might be wrong
But I don’t give a shit
Cause I’m not waiting up for you
Yeah he seems real nice
What happened to just being friends
I guess it was lost when you lied to me

So go drink you coffee to listen and watch just like all your friends
Have a good time can’t press rewind and lie again

So now what’s you plan?
Don’t think you can come running back again
Cause this time you’re already forgotten
Sure we had good times
But those are all locked away in a box somewhere
That I threw away

Don’t leave your friends you can not revenge what you’ve done to me
You think I’m dumb what the fuck do you care you cut me off

Who would of thought?
That I really cared
Now you’re all alone
I’m sure it’s pleasant
So have your fun
While it lasts
You’re a stupid bitch
But I guess you’re okay with that

So now I’m on track
I taking all control
Don’t ask for the ring
I already took it back
Sure I’ll miss the times
With your dad and that wine that’s on your countertop and playing the piano

Yeah sure you love me broken record you spun me into this trap
Make me feel guilty you’re just like a coward stab me in the back
