Bio

Daniel Erb has a passion for music. He lives it, breathes it, he sacrifices himself to it, he immerses himself in it, and all he asks is you come with him. Whether it is his resounding guitar riffs, or his atmospheric piano ballads, his rich voice beckons you to follow him along a path of what life can bring.

A Columbus Ohio native, Daniel had music in his life from the beginning. "I grew up with music all around me. My dad was in bands for 20 odd years. I can remember sitting in my living room as a kid and listening to The Beatles on vinyl. He guided me in every way to make sure I was on the right path. He introduced me to the most inspiring music and taught me so much. He also knew when to step back and let me go on my own."

Daniel first picked up a guitar at the age of 14. "I started out slowly but began teaching myself pretty much everything I know. I remember sitting in my room for hours sometimes as much as 8 or 9 hours just playing guitar until my fingers were bleeding."

Daniel began to find his own voice; he drew from all that life had to offer and began crafting his own originals. "Everything I write is from personal experience. Everything I sing happened to me in some way or another. I won't bullshit you, I tell you exactly what's on my mind and I think that comes off into my music as well."

In 2003 Daniel assembled these originals into an EP entitled “The Bedroom Recordings”. From this small and unassuming start he began to play show after show wowing crowds with his highly crafted, original covers, and his emotional originals. His following began to build to the point where he was a regular at local clubs.

In 2004 he cut a 5 song Demo entitled “These Are Lyrics to a Song.” This small demo would take him big places. Opening for national acts such as Ryan Cabrera, Ari Hest, Keane, The Roots, Ingram Hill, and Flogging Molly, Dan has already begun to grab attention across the country.

In 2005 Daniel is poised to make a huge leap into the national touring scene. With his recently acquired drummer Dave Benedic he’s ready to record his first full-length album and hit the road.

He’ll rock you with his cock out and it won’t even faze him. Catch a live show you’ll thank yourself.
