Bio
Daniele Spadavecchia is a melting pot of influences.
His sound takes off from New Orleans, where he lived and performed, from Europe where he was educated to the classical aesthetics, and from his native country Italy with his Mediterranean heritage.
His love for improvised forms such as Blues, Jazz, Gypsy Music such as Flamenco and Django Reinhardt is the trait d’union of his musical voyage.
Daniele has been playing guitar and singing for more than twenty years and went to New Orleans to learn the heart of music he always performed.
During his early performances in the “Big Easy”, his audience kept asking for Italian music leading him to reconsider the importance of his southern Italian roots.
The result was starting a band called Sicilian Swing in honor to the many Sicilians and Italians who came to America, including the families of Louis Prima, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra among the most famous.
