Bio

Hello, my name is Daniel Forrester. I am a guitar player from Denton, Texas. This project has existed since november/december of 2007. Before that, I wrote all the music for a band called Nine Dollar Word, and we played about 40 shows in a year and a half. You can hear the music for that group at the links provided. We played with many current north texas greats, such as Pops Carter, Villain Vangard, Daniel katsuk, Congratulations, Little Brian, Fab Deuce, Chica y Los Gatos, White Lotus Society, Captain Gallagher, and Sol Kitchen. We have played with national acts such as EOTO, Moving Matter, Jah Roots, and Dimitri's Ascent. We have played in venues in Denton, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and Fort Worth.
The music of this new group is very similar to that of our old group, which usually provided good turnouts. Denton is a jazz town. I have taken some school, but chose not to get a jazz degree just yet and am moving down to austin to finish some school (if scedule permits). I have learned more than I ever wanted to know abut music here. This is a very influential town to live in as a musician, because if you want to hear any jazz, its everywhere. And Jazz has got to be the hardest type of music to play. Im influenced by tons of musicians, but I would say that out original songs sound like a mix of stevie ray vaughan, the meters, the allman brothers, and parliament funkadelic. We write detailed songs, and do some improv as well. What sets us apart from other bands is that you could give us 5 songs to play and chances are we could play them. And would.
