Bio
Daniel has been playing guitar and singing since his mother died and the family moved to Uganda when he was 10. His father showed him 3 chords on his soon to be Yamaha FG-345ii and he began writing lyrics and songs of his own shortly thereafter.
Portland is now Hawks' home for the next few years as he lives and works in the thriving elemental music and art scene there, playing shows and meeting the people.
Growing up in central California, southern Florida, East Africa and the British West Indies really shaped D's wide capacity for rhythm and melody. His music making has been deeply inspired and continuous, reflecting his experiences, both physically and spiritually.
