Bio
Daniel, much like many artists before him, received his early and most basic training in church. Always eager to perform, Daniel got his first start in a contemporary Christian group named The Happy Day Express, consisting of Daniel and his three older brothers. Since then, Daniel has participated in several groups and sang on the praise team for Marilyn Hickey Ministries. He's shared the stage with renowned Gospel artists such as Ce Ce Winans, Martha Munizzi, Tim Miner, and Lyle Lovett just to name a few. He's also been seen traveling across the United States and Canada, ministering in different churches, juvinille detention centers and concert venues. Daniel has also become an accomplished songwriter, recognized by many respected songwriters throughout the music industry, including Jon Gibson and Tony Wood. Although Daniel stays largely within the Pop and R & B veins of musical styles, he has been known to venture into the land of ‘old school‘ gospel, jazz and country music. His major influences are Brian McKnight, Jon Gibson, Tim Miner, Commissioned, Take 6, Andre Crouch, and Michael W. Smith. In October 2003, Daniel competed at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Burbank, California. He was awarded five silver-medal finishes in five different categories.
