Bio
Daniel Von Jens is a singer, songwriter and guitar player from Milwaukee,
Wisconsin who has built a strong musical reputation and presence in the
Midwest. Throughout his many years performing both solo acoustically and
with full band Daniel has built a strong following of fans as demonstrated by
his growing email list and a dedicated world wide (Australia, Canada, UK,
Germany) Internet following. Some of Wisconsin’s most targeted music
venues, such as Shank Hall, Linneman’s, Green Bay’s BayFest, BBC’s and the
Globe have requested encore performances not only due to the crowd that is
drawn for every show but also because of the professional demeanor that is
upheld by this artist.
Daniel completed his first 4 – song EP, “Inspired by Moments” back in April of
2003. “Inspired by Moments” is an acoustic version of some of Daniels most
intimate ballads and has been distributed to over 500 of Dan’s most dedicated
fans world wide. This EP was co-produced by Troy Stetina (author for Hal
Leonard, Troy continues to work on projects with Mark Tremonti from Creed
and has worked with Don Dokken) of Artist Underground and was recorded
to demonstrate his songwriting ability and acoustical style and to also provide
him with a quality tool to market himself and his abilities.
Currently Daniel is in the recording studio working on his first solo full length
CD. He’s intensely forming his street team which has already begun
promoting his anticipated CD release. The Street Team to date includes State
Captains from Wisconsin, Florida, California, Canada, North Carolina, and New
York. Street team members have been distributing Dan’s newest release “Out
on the Road” as a promo to music lover’s world wide. By his CD release date,
which is expected around late fall 2004, Daniel anticipates a strong new
following from regions outside of his hometown and will begin touring
aggressively for the remainder of the year. His plans include local and
regional markets and will spotlight key performances at several popular music
venues recognized throughout the U.S.
Not only is Daniel independently marketing himself, recording a new CD,
formulating street teams, performing shows, attending songwriter
conferences, participating as an active member of TAXI & WAMI, and
submitting music for air play and reviews, he has also started his own
recording label & publishing company, Outer Box Productions. Daniel formed
Outer Box to demonstrate his serious commitment to his music career and to
show that he has the business sense necessary to be successful in such a
competitive profession
