Biography

Danielle Draizin is an extraordinary 16 year old singer- songwriter from Long Island, NY. She has spent the last 6 years of her life preparing for a career in the music business. Danielle has studied voice with renowned NYC vocal coach Robert Marks. She also studies acting and hip hop dance . She has performed at a variety of venues including the Great Neck, NY Street Fair, singing the national Anthem at the Polo Matches in the Hamptons, NY. and her recent successful debut at the Lion's Den in NYC.

She has recently collaborated on 9 of 11 songs on her indie album entitled "Stepping Stones" with veteran songwriter/producer/engineer Lisa Ratner (Barbra Stresisand, Vanessa Williams, Dolly Parton- East West Music Inc.). The CD was recorded at Fastrax Music Studios in South Salem, NY and mastered by Mark Santangelo at Sony Music Studios, NY. Danielle will be featured on Sony Studios Independent Artist website in 2007.

Ratner, Draizin and current band manager Jamie Stern, have assembled a unique combination of musicians that offer the best of both worlds to help bring Danielle's music to the public.

The band consists of young up- and -coming musicians and singers as well as seasoned session and touring players. This superb blend of talent reflects the true personality of the music created by Ratner and Draizin. Classic pop/rock songwriting and arranging from Ratner's many years of work in the music industry combined with fresh lyric content and voicing from young Draizin's style of writing, make for a dynamic presentation of sophistication and style.

Their influences include; the Doors, Rolling Stones, Elton John, Billy Joel, The Who, Beatles, Eagles, CSNY, Led Zepplin, Guess Who, Foreigner, Pink, Black Eyed Peas, Counting Crows, U2, Diane Warren, Carol King, Annie Lennox, Streisand, Dolly Parton, Vanessa Williams, Gwen Stephanie, Ashley Simpson, Madonna, Hanna Montana, Hillary Duff, Oasis, Christina Agulaira, Maroon 5, all Motown artists.

Two gifted women have come together to share their talents and create a sound that is truly reflective of both their generations. With the help of Draizin's new back up band, the songs really come to life and seem to appeal to many different age groups. Danielle's music is the true definition of "crossover".

Danielle and Lisa have won two honorable mentions for their songs "I Hurt" and "Give Me Some Space" in the Billboard Song Contest 2007.

Clouds

“CLOUDS”
Words and Music by Lisa Ratner & Danielle Draizin

Brow was wet
And the sun is high
Staring up into that big blue sky
I’m thinking ‘bout you all the time
Somehow the clouds up there
All remind me of you
Of you of you

Never realized it would hurt so much
to say goodbye and not stay in touch and,
Now that I’m home, now that I’m here
The answers all seem so crystal clear

I Remember when we watched the clouds up in the sky
We called out their shapes
as they passed us by
It all was so beautiful, it all was so right
And that’s why I find it hard to say goodbye

Chorus
Why did you lie?
You made me cry
This is goodbye
I don’t really wanna be your girl
You cheated, I don’t need this
Now I’m leaving
I don’t really wanna be your girl

Seeing you
Just the other day
Brought back memories
of another time and place
Now I know
It’ll never be the same
The skies are blue
have now turned to gray

I remember when we watched the clouds
up in the sky
We called out their shapes as they passed us by
It all was so beautiful, it all was so right
And that’s why I find it hard to say goodbye

I can break your heart
Tear it all apart
It’s you who messed it up
and now I’ve had enough
I don’t really wanna be your girl

You cheated
I don’t need this
Now I’m leaving
I don’t really wanna be your girl

Now that I have walked away
Don’t call me up and say you’ll change
I won’t let you rain on my parade
Don’t waste your time it’s way to late

I Remember when we watched the clouds up in the sky
We called out their shapes as they passed us by
It all was so beautiful, it all was so right
And that’s why I find it hard to say goodbye

Why did you lie
You made me cry
This is goodbye
I don’t really wanna be your girl

You cheated
Now I’m leaving
This is goodbye

I don’t really wanna be your girl

I can break your heart
Tear it all apart
Tear it all apart

I don’t really wanna be your girl
I don’t really wanna be
I don’t really wanna be
I don’t really wanna be your girl

Little Sister

Written By: Lisa

Little Sister
Words & Music by Lisa Ratner & Danielle Draizin

Came home from school
And walked into my room
There she was trying on my clothes
Favorite jeans jacket and little heels with the open toes

She’s dead meat (DEAD)
And there’s no doubt about it
She said, sorry
But that’s not gonna cut it
She’s not allowed in my room
Never ever
And my mom keeps saying
You better let her

Cause she’s your little sister, sister
Better treat her right cause she’s the only one you’ve got
Little sister, sister
Doesn’t really matter if you love her or not

Picked up the phone to talk to my friends
I could tell she was on the other end
She reads my journal when I’m not around
Before I know it I’m the talk of the town

She dead meat
and she’s really gonna get it
She says sorry
But she’ll live to regret it
She’s not allowed in my room
Never ever
But my mom keeps saying
you better let her

Cause she’s your little sister sister
Better treat her right cause she’s the only one you’ve got
Little sister sister
Doesn’t really matter if you love her or not

She drives me crazy why can’t you see
Where ever I go my shadow is following me…

Cause she’s your little sister ,sister
Better treat her right ‘cause she’s the only one you’ve got
Little sister sister
Doesn’t really matter if you love her or not

Oh oh
She’s my little sister
Oh oh
Shes the only one you’ve got

yeah
She’s my little sister
Oh oh ah
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Oh oh yeah yeah
