Bio

Danielle Kalil isn't your average country singing sensation. The 6'1" California country girl is bound to catch both your eye and ear with her alluring stage presence and soulful blues voice. Born and raised in Southern California, Danielle surprised everyone, including herself, at age 8 when she sang for her first time in a beauty pageant for the talent competition. The judges' mouths dropped as she belted out Patsy Cline's "Crazy", and was effectively crowned first place in the pageant.

Humble but driven, Danielle was born to grace the stage since talent is prominent in the Kalil gene pool. Her father, Frank Kalil, played center for the Buffalo Bills in the 1980s alongside Jim Kelley, while her mother, Cheryl Kalil, was crowned Miss California in 1993. Danielle's older brother, Ryan, played center for University of Southern California with teammates Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart, and now plays for the Carolina Panthers in the NFL. Her younger brother, Matt, currently plays tackle for USC.

Danielle continued competing in pageants until she was 12, when she discovered music was her true passion over modeling, with influences such as Shania Twain, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Keith Urban, The Judds, and various pop and rock groups. She immediately began recording demos, and learned guitar and piano at age 13. She then began writing her own songs, and recorded them in the studio with help from professional song writers and producers. Independently writing her own music, Danielle developed her self-acclaimed "California country" style at an early age. Since then, she signed with Elite, a prestigious world-renowned modeling agency, and has done runway and ads for Teen magazine, Guess, and Union Bay.

Remaining down-to-earth, Danielle attended Corona High School, in Corona, California (a suburb outside Orange County), where she was an active member in the school's choir. Danielle balanced school and her singing career while constantly traveling back-and-forth from California to Nashville to write and record her music.

Now 22, the soon-to-be Nashville resident is working hard to achieve her immediate goals of becoming an opening act, signing with a record label, and recording her first album. With her intense determination and talent comparable to the late Patsy Cline, you'll certainly continue to hear more and more about the young up-and-coming country artist, Danielle Kalil, in the very near future!
