Biography

Danielle Lessard, although multi talented musician, mainly plays acoustic guitar and sings with a range of styles from R&B to rock to soul to hip hop. With fierce guitar and powerful vocals she puts herself completely into her music. The truth is said in what is heard.
Being majorly influenced early on by R&B, soul, funk, and anything with a good rhythm, it is reflected in the rhythmic guitar style that she plays. Coming from 2 parents who were long time snare and quad drummers of the local drumcore, she was born with an undying rhythm.
This past year was a break through for her musical journey. After playing guitar for 14 years, a self taught musician and singer, she finally began to write her own music. More so be able to expose herself, her music, to the public. Although she's played dozens of shows in her late teens and early 20's, she never uttered a word of her own material. But in the last couple years she's roared at venues such as The Bowery Poetry Club in NYC; WOW Cafe Theatre in NYC; Tammany Hall in Worcester, Ma; All Asia Bar in Cambridge, Ma; stART On the Street in Worcester, Ma; Emerson College in Boston, Ma; Westfield College in Westfield, Ma; etc. With a love for the magic of a live performance she projects the true essense of her music. The real energy lives in her live performance. Take a listen and hear truth.
