Danielle Ponders stage performance is a spiritual experience. Her voice transcends beyond the physical; you will feel the power of her voice in your soul. As the former lead singer of the bands Black August and Filthy Funk, and with two albums under her belt; By Ear and Eklectric(an album which received critical acclaimed from Questloves Okayplayer), this singer/songwriters is to be heard. The power of her voice has not gone unnoticed securing her gigs as the opening act for The Roots, John Legend, George Clinton, Kool and the Gang, Ledisi the Ohio Players and Marsha Ambrosious. Danielle Ponder has performed at major events such as the Rochester International Jazz Festival, and the Toronto Harbor Festival .

With her upcoming project Finding Freedom, Danielle Ponder brings the best of her ten years of experience as an artist, creating a genre bending experience with music she calls "experimental soul." She rises above the crowd due to her ability to produce music that makes you move and her talent for writing thought provoking lyrics about life, love and social issues. Ms. Ponder will make you move, make you think and make you feel.
