Different Flavas, the debut solo album from versatile R&B singer and tunesmith Danielle, is now available on Atlanta’s MDM Entertainment label. Danielle was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, the youngest of 4 kids of a Trinidadian mother and Grenadian father. She showed a passion for music from an early age, and began singing and writing songs when she was only 12 years old. In 1995, Danielle relocated to Atlanta where she founded MDM Entertainment. Different Flavas is her debut full-length CD and has already received glowing reviews, ensuring her a memorable spot in Atlanta’s burgeoning roster of emerging artists.

Brooklyn, NY native Danielle Swaby recently received the honor of being named Winner by the Song of the Year ( http://www.songoftheyear.com/ ) songwriting contest. Song of the Year is an international songwriting contest supporting VH-1’s Save the Music Foundation. The Song of the Year judges are some of the biggest names in music including many Grammy Award winners. Song of the Year is excited to recognize Danielle for her exceptional songwriting ability for the song Games. Danielle competed against songwriters from all over the world for this honor. When asked what inspired the song Games commented that “I wrote this song to help express feelings that I’m sure many women around the world can relate to”.Currently Danielle is concentrating on her songwriting career while hoping to get a publishing deal. Born and raised in Brooklyn NY, this quiet beauty has been writing songs since age 12. Danielle was born the last of 4 children. Her mother was born in Trinidad and her father was born in Grenada. The caribbean influences including the sultry steel drums and "bangin" base are evident in Danielle's music. However, you will notice in Danielle's debut album “Different Flavas” she writes and enjoys many genres of music.
In 1995 Danielle left New York and moved to Atlanta where she founded MDM entertainment. In Atlanta, she worked with producer David Leonard of Reveal Audio to complete her debut album “Different Flavas”. Different Flavas contains a mixture of emotions, thoughts, beats and rythms. This album was created to showcase the amazing versatility of this artist. Different Flavas was formally released under MDM Entertainment on Sept 9th.
Danielle's pre-release singles "Games", "Prove Your Love" and "Best Friend" from her debut album have received astounding reviews. This woman is on the verge of something big!
