Daniel McBrearty

Daniel McBrearty’s passion for music has as many guises as it does sources of inspiration. Influenced by jazz, blues, rock and soul music, as well as traditional Celtic and other styles, Daniel’s explorations through the audible landscape are united by a singular quest for lyricism and melody.

Born in Wales in 1964, Daniel McBrearty was immersed in music from a young age. A fascination for early jazz and exposure to top 20 hits from the 1970’s later merged with a growing interest in classic rock, rhythm and blues and various jazz-funk artists on the scene at the time. By the age of 14, Daniel had acquired an impressive musical arsenal and was already performing on the local jazz, rock and blues circuits.

Since then, Daniel McBrearty has struck a number of fertile partnerships, each contributing to a creative style that bridges several musical genres. Now living in Antwerp, Belgium with his two beautiful daughters, Daniel is currently working on a new album with his latest project, The Daniel McBrearty Band.
