Bio

Daniel was born in Bermuda, grew up in England and Switzerland and has since lived in Japan and Italy, before returning to Switzerland where he is currently based.

Music, writing and the creative process have been essential parts of his life for as long as he can remember.

As a singer/songwriter based in Geneva, Switzerland, his focus, aside from his solo work, is working with the acoustic trio, 'Tiger the Lion' comprising himself, Lucy Shaw and David Cotting (www.tigerthelion.com), for which he is the principal songwriter and singer.

Daniel's solo performances feature his thoughtful and catchy songs stripped down to their most essential parts - showcasing their catchy melodies and often driving rhythms. His lyrics betray a love of nature and explorations of self and society often focusing on rediscovery and rebirth.

Mainly performing on guitar, he sometimes accompanies his songs with double bass, banjo, violin, mandolin and sitar.

Use of moderate effects and loops can create the impression sometimes that there is more than just one person on stage!

In Daniel's music his wide ranges of influences - from anglo-american folk and blues, through pop, rock and electro, to various world musics - is gradually revealed as each distinct song is performed.
