I'm 23 and I’ve been writing for about 3 years. Having been living in Madrid I’m now with my parents in the UK and have got some songs together at my shoddy 'studio' there. Anyway rewinding a little - I went to uni at Brighton where I worked at an old picture house specializing in old Hollywood and independent films - there, i fell in love with orchestral jazz film score music such as sonny rollins 'alfie' and the big band music in the original 'nutty professor' 1976 (i think). Since then all I've really wanted to do is write orchestral pop. As it was, seeing as I was/is a lone ranger - this was not possible so I created my own mix of acoustic rap pop with hints of jazz, classical, funk and a little electro - influenced of course by the music earlier described. Having studied the music of Burt Bacharach and numerous film composers - big composition are very attractive to me. What sets me apart from other musicians is my range - I love and write/produce most other genres - rock, electro, folk, classical. I have numerous songs written with hints of these styles. I want my music to be universally loved regardless of what genre people are into - I have a dream of making a universal record with everything that i love on it. I'm sure it'll happen soon!!
