Bio
As a college student in the early seventies I thought if I learned to play guitar and sing, women would be more interested in me. I didn't work. But due to my limited love life I was able to spend a lot of time practicing and I got to be a pretty good guitar player.
I soon began to write songs (partly to express my frustration concerning my love life) and although I've never made much money at it, I eventually became a fairly good songwriter too.
I played a lot at various bars including biker bars, oyster bars (my favorite), fern bars (that was strange), and hippie bars as well as coffee houses and parties over the years (my love life did finally improve) and eventually I slowed down and became a grandfather. No matter what you want them to call you, grandchildren will rename you what they want and my granddaughter named me Pa Danny.
I had actually written my children's show originally titled "A Book Can Take You Anywhere" a couple of years before I had a clue about becoming a grandfather but I reworked it after I became Pa Danny. The show was originally a musical to be performed by several actors and I wrote a new version that would allow me to perform it myself. It's challenging but it's fun.
