Bio
Dan Navarro is a career artist and songwriter, 25 years and 12 albums with Eric Lowen in Lowen & Navarro, now solo since Eric's retirement in 2009 (and tragic passing in 2012). Co-wrote songs for Pat Benatar ("We Belong"), The Bangles, Dave Edmunds, Dionne Warwick, The Temptations and more.
Dan has released 12 albums with L&N and one solo live disk, "Live at McCabe's (With Stonehoney)". His first official solo album, "Shed My Skin", is in still the works for 2014. An interim release, "Skinless - The Shed My Skin Demos" emerged in August 2013.
Dan carries on in L&N's tradition of stirring heartfelt performances with an increasingly busy touring schedule, now nearing 100 shows per year, taking him to locales both tried-and-true and newly developing. His accompanying musicians vary from tour to tour, ranging from solo acoustic performances to stretching out with a four-piece backing band.
Dan moonlights as a singer and voice actor in films like "Happy Feet" and "The Lorax", TV's "Family Guy" and "American Dad" and in commercials. He's a current Folk Alliance International Board member and past president of the board.
Dan is the father of a 17 year old son, Joseph, and a known abuser of acoustic guitars.
