SoloAmericanaSinger/Songwriter

Americana/ Alternative Country/ Folk Rock. Sounds like Bruce Springsteen, Steve Earle Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison. Songs that will take you on a journey of wanting, having, losing and believing and along the way have you laughing, dancing, singing and crying.

Biography

Singer/songwriter based in Connecticut but raised in Port Chester NY. A neighborhood in Port Chester that was small and old fashioned and mostly Italian American. Where each morning the church-bells rang, the children played and you can smell fresh bread from the local bakery. Meanwhile we would listen to The Beatles and Chicago and AM pop radio and try to kiss the cutest girl in class while working on getting the darn F chord to sound right. This is where song comes from.

The songs are countrified and the voice is masculine. These are not just words and guitar chords, these are confessions and memoirs of a life lived and  of dreams yet to come true.

Lyrics

Granpa's Saw

Written By: Dan Racaniello

Well sit right there and listen son. I’ll tell you things your grandpa done.
He was long and tall and his eyes were kean, and he could swing that saw like you never seen
Hey Hey two by four. Wont you tell me what grandpa saw , hey hey tell me more
I wanna know what grandpa saw, I wanna know what grandpa saw

Well when the war was over son, he moved us all to Arkansas,
And he built that barn with his own two hands, and he played his fiddle in a bluegrass band
Hey Hey two by four. Wont you tell me what grandpa saw , hey hey tell me more
I wanna know what grandpa saw, I wanna know what grandpa saw

Like a knight on a pearly horse, he stormed the castle and he stole the girl
Rode a ship from a distant shore

I wish I seen what grandpa saw I wish I seen what grandpa saw
I wanna know what grandpa saw

He sold the farm and he moved back north, built every house in our neighborhood
And he played as hard as he worked each day, and he drank himself to an early grave

Hey Hey two by four. Wont you tell me what grandpa saw , hey hey tell me more
I wanna know what grandpa saw, I wanna know what grandpa saw
Hey Hey two by four. Wont you tell me what grandpa saw , hey hey tell me more
I wanna know what grandpa saw, I wanna know what grandpa saw

I will Love Again

Written By: Dan Racaniello

Well I’ve been lost and forgotten. The dark clouds they won’t roll away.
I think I’ve hit rock bottom. I’ll find the strength to make it through the day.
Now these walls they ought to be painted. I hear the rain pouring down on my roof.
Dear God I’ve grown frustrated, cause I cant seem to get good work.

Say this, Say this, I Will Love Again
Say this, Say this, I Will Love Again

Now I pray to God every evening. Don’t let our love fade away.
Can you find the strength of forgiveness . For those that I hurt along the way.

Say this, Say this, I Will Love Again
Say this, Say this, I Will Love Again

Father Peter asked where’s your mother? She ain’t been at church in months.
Ever since my daddy left here, she lost her faith in the cross
Now these roaches are well in the cupboards. The dishes piled high in the sink
Next month foreclosure coming. We’ll be begging for our meals in the street.

Say this, Say this, I Will Love Again
Say this, Say this, I Will Love Again

MMMM, MMMM, MMMM ,,MMMMMMM
MMMM, MMMM, MMMM ,,MMMMMMM
