Danny and the Bygones combines the sincerity, the stories, and the singularity of the singer-songwriter genre with the experimentation, the improvisation, and the explosion of sound that defines Rock & Roll. Formed in late 2006 when singer-songwriter Danny Greene started putting up flyers all around Penn State campus stating:
“Songwriter looking for a guitarist,
who can sing harmonies,
can write music,
knows how to shred on guitar, and...
must love the Beach Boys.”
Surprisingly, Danny actually found such a behemoth of musical talent. Vince Paglione, answered the call and the two instantly became a songwriting machine, crafting 10 songs within the first 2 weeks they knew each other. The rest of the band quickly came together through friendships and mutual loves of harmony. The band consists of Danny and Vince and a rotating super-group of musicians. Danny and the Bygones can be seen on stage bringing their complex and powerful songs to life via piano, guitar, cello, upright bass, drums, and of course three-part harmonies
