DANNY COWAN- GUITARS & VOCALS
Originally from San Antonio, Tx, and now a resident of Sanford, NC, Danny has many memories about his time in the music world, such as sneaking backstage at a Blind Faith concert to meet Eric Clapton, talking with Bob Dylan, and having a two hour blues discussion with Stevie Ray Vaughan.
His early influences include Westrn Swing, such as Bob Wills & The Texas Playboys,
country and gospel music. He also found inspiration from 50's rock, such as Buddy Holly, Eddie Cochran, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis and Sun Records. Danny discovered surf music instrumentals, such as The Ventures, and from that point on, he began playing the guitar.
During his teen years he listened to the likes of B.B. King, Freddy King, Paul Butterfield Blues Band (w/Mike Bloomfield), Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Canned Heat and John Mayall w/Eric Clapton. "Hearing B.'B. for the first time is when I discovered THE BLUES and it instigated a fanatical & burning desire to play them!"Perhaps Danny's largest musical impact came with Jimi Hendrix in his later teen years, although he also listened to Cream, Jeff Beck, Yardbirds, Beatles, The Who, Stones, and later Roy Buchanan. "Fender Telecaster has played a huge Influence on me, but hearing Hendrix when he first debuted changed my life and opened my mind to rock and jazz influences. His freedom of expression is still the most important influence in my musical life." Danny has played in numerous groups (an early one with Steve Earle), and in 1976 joined up and toured the USA Augie Meyers & The Western Headband. He also did shows with Doug Sahm as The Sir Douglas Quintet. "I played on 'Austin City Limits' in 1976 and did TV and Radio Shows throughout the USA. I opened shows for Jimmy Reed, Gatemouth Brown and Willie Nelson." In the mid 1980's Danny went solo with his own group and opened shows for Chuck Berry, The Supremes, Foghat, Roy Buchanan & many more. In 2000 the Danny Cowan Group released their all original cd 'Drivin Back To Texas'.

ED FRY- VOCALS & KEYBOARDS
I’ve been living on the rock since 1969. Started in PA. in various bands covering Clapton, Steely Dan, ZZ Top, Spirit, Alman Brothers etc. Finally ended up doing original material with “Chakra” and “Skyline Drive” where we got real close with both projects. Moved on to N.Y., Colorado, Ohio and California. “I love playing guitar but being in a band with Danny and Rick, I’ll be happy adding some keyboards and doing the vocals. I really consider myself a song writer first. I have two rock Cd’s currently on the market from the late 90’s with my group “The Ed Fry Band” from California, where I spent the last 30 years before coming to the tree capital of the world. “I love it here; it’s the new pin on the map so let’s make it happen. This is going to be fun!! Danny plays from the heart and is right up there with the best guitar players out there…..so put on your safety glasses and get ready for some Blues/Rock like you remember.”

RICK JACKSON- DRUMS
Being a native of the sandhills, Rick grew up in Hamlet, NC. Rick explains, "I fell in love with the drums at about the age of 9. I dreamed of having my own drum set someday. I would see people like Buddy Rich and Louis Bellson on the Johnny Carson show and I thought they were just the coolest people there were. I wanted to be a drummer like them." When Rick saw the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show that was it, he knew then that he wanted to play music. He got his first drum set for Christmas when he was 11 years old. "I started jamming around and listening to a lot of the British Invasion bands of the time like the Beatles, the Dave Clark Five, the Rolling Stones." Rick says, "Then later, some of the bands that really influenced me were the Rascals, Chicago Transit Authority, The Cream, Jimi Hendrix Experience, and Led Zeppelin." Rick's two older sisters were a huge influence on him because of all the music they listened to. They loved Elvis and all the Motown R&B stuff. By the age of 15 Rick was playing in local bands and throughout his teens he played in many local top 40 bands and some all original bands. After high school Rick attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. "I believe that all of my musical experiences have brought me to this point in life where I am part of the Danny Cowan Band," he said. Rick plays Rogers, Tama, and Ludwig drum sets with Zildjian, Paiste, and Sabian Cymbals.

PAUL EVERETT- BASS & VOCALS
Originally from Jacksonville, Fla, and now a recent resident of Pinehurst via northern New Jersey Paul had been performing and recording from the Jersey shore to New York City for decades. He got his first record album, "Meet the Beatles" at the age of ten and within six months had started his first band. After originally playing drums for ten years, Paul switched to playing electric bass, being influenced by such players as Paul McCartney, Chris Squire, John Paul Jones, John Entwistle and others.
