Bio
Danny has clocked up a vast amount of experience playing in the Irish music scene with various outfits, including Giraffes, Slow Skies, Jazzberries and Ebo. Now in 2012, Danny has launched his solo material, with delicate songs arranged for string quartet and vocalists.
His gigging and writing experience comes through and makes an impact to the listener - a natural at grabbing an audiences attention. His stage performances are loved for Danny's engagement with the music, and for his love of and joy in performing that resonates with the audience. Danny has played at Irelands top festivals, including a number of Electric Picnic performances, 10 Days in Dublin Arts Festival, and has supported the Wailers, the Coronas, the Blind Boys of Alabama, and played main stage at The Trinity Ball.
Danny is currently studying at Berklee College of Music on a dual scholarship from the college and the Fulbright Program.
Influences range from Crosby, Stills & Nash, Annie DiFranco, David Kitt & Damien Rice to Rory Gallagher, Led Zeppelin, Jazz, Funk, Soul, & Brazilian music; giving Danny a wide a palette of musical choices, which one notices listening to a set.
Driven by a desire to move and interact with people, Danny continues to perform and relish in the atmosphere of connecting with people through music.
