Bio

"I grew up amongst the scrubby cedars of Bosque county, Texas. I went to school in Meridian, hometown of folk-historian Alan Lomax. There is absolutely nothing in the way of a music scene there in Meridian, unless you include the marching band. "It was just me, my guitar, and the cedars". Danny's only musical education came early on, in the form of classic rock. The radio. Led Zeppelin. Jimi Hendrix. The Who. "All that stuff is burned into my brain. That's what my dad was listening to. So, that's what I was listening to."

Danny has learned to appreciate everything from Bob Wills to Ween. When he started playing guitar in high school, "grunge" ruled the world. Though, back then he was more inspired by the blues. "You know, stuff by people like Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson. Guitar-wise I wanted to be Stevie Ray".
Danny's main influences are Ben Harper and the Beatles. "I like stuff that varies from song to song. Whether it be the melody, rhythym, or lyrics, I think each song should bring something different to listener".

Danny has played several live venues including "The Door" in Ft. Worth and KOTO radio in Telluride. He is also a recommended artist in the VH1 Songwriting competition of 2005.
