Danny Green doesn't write songs, he lives them. Each one reveals a small slice of his life. Diverse and clever, uncensored and unashamed, Danny delivers a rare piece of reality to your stereo speakers (or your ipod) with a poignant and sometimes disturbing level of honesty. There's a certain familiarity in his songs that engages listeners and invites them into his world. It's equal parts 'old soul' wisdom, childlike wonder, teenage angst and midlife crisis.
Difficult to classify, his music is a mixed-genre smoothie of sound that begins with a blues rock base then, depending on the song, blends layers of power pop, anti-folk, piano man, post punk, alternative fringe, funky hip-hop beats, audio samples, heady effects and frothy ethereal noise. It's a melodic mash-up of diverse flavors with something on the menu to satisfy a variety of listeners and at the same time leave them hungry for more.
