Bio
Born and raised in the heart of Dixie, Danny Rosado began his musical journey with an old Kingston guitar his Grandfather left behind. Taking his passion for song with him, he set out for adventure in the US Navy and found love and religion, heartache and philosophy, and a dog named Chubbs, but not necessarily in that order…
To the uninitiated Danny is a seemingly contradictory blend of satire and romance, but to those who know him best, he is simply “the guy with the guitar.” A product of southern roots and a world view earned from his extensive travels, he shares his unique perspective on the human condition with an honesty that speaks directly to the soul. From stories of stalkers and gypsy women, to treatises on love and self-reflection, his music illuminates both the compassionate and irreverent sides of human nature.
With an enthusiasm that’s catching and a love of sharing his music, Danny has performed on couches, in historic cities and sailing ships, and even for American troops abroad. Now calling northern Virginia home, he performs both as a solo acoustic artist and as frontman for the Drivin’South Band, a Classic Rock band based in Stafford, VA.
