Bio


Biography: Danny Shah, is a 19 year old Singer, Songwriter based in Glasgow who formally fronted Metal Rock Band The Detours. Danny's older brother Robert (Hip Parade) taught him his first chords when he was 7 years old and played his first gig in France and sang" A Thousand Tree's" by Stereophonics on an acoustic guitar he had borrowed from a man in his 40's who he tried teaching "Wonderwall" to. Since then Danny has taught himself instruments such as Piano, Drums, Bass, Guitar and he particularly enjoys writing songs every chance he can get..! Danny's material can be described as raw and organic, experimental acoustic rock fused with melodic hooks and evocative lyrics. Danny certainly know's how to entertain and will take you on a musical journey you'll never forget..! Danny writes about his life experiences his philosophy is to write at times when he's at the height of his emotions. As Danny believes "Not only do your words and creativity go into it but you can feel your heart flow through it". This show's a lot about Danny's sincerity and passion for music. His ability to write from the heart will undoubtedly touch the hearts of many. His influences range from Led Zeppelin, James Morrison and John Meyer to bands such as Billy Talent and Hip Parade. Danny has been featured on the Orange Unsigned Act Show on Channel 4 and E4 with his former band The Detours. He has written new tracks for his EP which features an eclectic mix of emotive and up beat acoustic pop tracks.
