District native Danny Flicks learned how to write songs with his father’s guidance. His dad

was a music engineer who owned a recording studio, and started his own record label in

2010. At the studio, Danny taught himself how to record music using ProTools. He made a

song as a part of a school project, sharing the final product with his father. His dad’s reaction

prompted Danny to take his interest in rapping to the next level. When his father passed

away, Danny decided to continue what he had started.

As an artist, Danny Flicks’ lyrical content exceeds the status quo. He heralds artists like Big

Sean, Kanye West, and T-Pain as creative masterminds who paved the way for the styles

many artists emulate now. From a phrase someone says to something he sees – anything

can spark an idea for Danny to personalize and turn into a song.

A graduate of Omega Studios; School of Applied Recording Arts & Sciences, Danny is an

audio engineer who’s been recording and mixing music for about five years now. A skilled

videographer, he also started his own company - NumbersGang Productions, LLC. Danny

was able to apply his formal training to the production of his smash song, “No Wayz,” which is

now available on iTunes and Tidal.

The video for “No Wayz” drops in a few weeks, and he’s also pushing his single “Same Me.”

Even though he has racked up a number of quality tracks, Danny wants to build more buzz

around them before releasing a project. He has been working fastidiously on public relations

and publishing opportunities, re-releasing his singles “Drama” and “Options,” which has been

played on WPGC 95.5. Danny has also performed at several venues around his hometown -

including Touche’ and Layla Lounge.

By branding himself as a multi-faceted creative, Danny Flicks hopes to take his career to the

next level. Within the next six months, he sees himself in an even better position than he is

now – working with bigger clients, playing bigger venues, and making bigger money.
