Bio
After Dan Rendine sang the blues at Lion's Den in Greenwich Village, Jimmy Vivino of Conan O'Brien Show Band pulled him aside, saying, "Kid, you've got a great voice." Since 1999, that voice has moved audiences in venues here and abroad, including the Bowery Ballroom, Bethlehem MusikFest, World Cafe Live and Villagio Globale in Rome, Italy. Dan's sound, drenched in the soul of his hometown Philadelphia, takes its inspiration from blues, Motown, classic rock and folk. As a band leader, Dan has shared the stage with the likes of guitarist Vivino and blues harpist Adam Gussow, and has opened shows for such artists as the Tragically Hip, Merle Saunders, Debbie Davies and Link Wray. As a solo performer, Dan is recognized for his pure, piercing lyrics and melodies; warm, yearning voice; and the spare, evocative backgrop of roots-influenced acoustic guitar.
