Seven Gems - My first CD. You can get it only at www.dansantner.com or at one of my shows.

Dan's earliest musical memories are playing his mother's Tchaicovsky records until the needle went through to the other side of the wax. And when he was of age to join the school band.....he chose to beat on the drums. Later in life he studied classical piano and then after that again chose to beat on the drums in cover bands for a few years. So it comes as no surprise when you encounter his music you will be in for either the pounding rhythmic music of Dan the Drummer or the soaring melodic music of Dan the classical composer. Take your pick, but you will find it hard to walk away from his music and not be singing the chorus in your head for a while afterward.

Dan's first release Seven Gems is a collection of seven handpicked songs from his repertoire that really shine. Each tells a story of his life from the inside: Finding My Way is a deeply introspective look at Dan's personal journey of faith through a world full of confusion. I Can See the Ocean is an impatient and impulsive drive with Dan from the midwest to the coast, a trip he's made many times and every time is new. All that I Get is Dan's personal philosophy: 'jump in, you might get wet, but it might be all you get'. Wake Up Rebecca is a picture of a younger Dan serenading a girl. You'll Always be Superman is a fantastic flight into the more Orchestral tendencies of Dan telling his son how he feels about him. Is She Looking at Me is a raw look at the emotional tribute to his mother. The CD finishes with an unpolished recording of Dan sitting at the piano serenading us all.
