"Dante Lennon Stacks The Release of Her “Party At A Funeral” EP With “One Thing” Visual"

Brooklyn’s own Dante Lennon hits us with a couple pieces of content today. Coinciding with the release of her long-awaited new EP, Party at a Funeral, Dante also liberates a catchy new video for “One Thing,” the EP’s first single. The thrilling set of visuals, directed by JR Omishore, shows a young girl sprinting towards a boating dock and stopping just shy of the edge. It’s up for interpretation in terms of what she was running from, but with the thumping sound of “One Thing” playing in the background, combined with flashy, trippy scenes of Dante rapping, it’s nothing short of a movie-like experience. - Boi 1da

"[EP REVIEW] Dante Lennon – Party At A Funeral"

[BROOKLYN, NEW YORK] Making her debut on NikkiSiixx.com, we got femcee Dante Lennon with her latest EP entitled Party At A Funeral. Dante Lennon definitely presents a tough/fierce female role, with so much power in her flow. Party At A Funeral also features PremeDaPrez, D.R.U.G, and Deacon. The eight track project really provides you a sight of love and loss throughout it all. - Nikki Siixx.

Hot Take: Dante Lennon not only brought fans into her life with the new mixtape, but channeled her cinematic side in the heart-rushing “One Thing” video. The east coast native is here to stay. - Karen Civil

Bio

You don’t just hear great musicians, you feel them and you learn from them and Danté Lennon is the distillation of a modern artist.

Not confined to the norms of a genre laced with artists who have seemingly forgotten how to paint their own pictures, but instead trace the outlines of the same story, Danté is what you would consider a rare find. Introduced to the culture of hip-hop at a young age, Danté has become the type of artist that can only be described as unexpected.

Taking inspiration from every encounter, Danté is the living embodiment of the stories she crafts. Inspired in part by artists such as Jay Z, Danté borrows the complex rhythm and meter of song and makes use of internal rhyme as well as alliteration throughout her raps. Never the loudest one in the room, she’s been able to use her interactions with others to create a canvas that encompasses the everyday trials and tribulations of the average person. Her art is meant both to entertain and to instruct. Danté writes very logically and methodically, intending to create music that would appeal to both critical and popular tastes.

Danté scratching the surface of mainstream success while creating a lane for herself as an independent artist as she prepares to introduce her inaugural eight track EP, Party At A Funeral.

Danté Lennon is set to tell the stories of hip-hop’s forgotten children – the outsiders, the reclusive, the one’s who try to make something beautiful out of an ugly picture and cement her status as hip-hop’s newest savant.
