It’s 90-minutes of comedy this Friday, Oct. 12 when Hawk Entertainment brings the Crack Me Up Comedy show to Brampton’s Pickled Onion Bar & Grill.
The event, which features a short film, stand-up comics, and an appearance by Toronto Batman, begins at 8 p.m. and is free admission.
First on the roster is the hilarious dark comedy The Store— a 40-minute film by Craig Watkins that explores the friendship between two losers who hatch a plan to rob the convenience store where one of them works. All of the actors featured in the film are stand-up comics, and much of the dialogue was improvised while filming, said Watkins. The film is being premiered across Ontario.
Following the film are comedians Dan Thiel, Ian Fergus and Karina Karina, as well as an appearance by Hannah Hogan from YTV and the evening’s headliner, Toronto Batman.

Dan Thiel is a crowd pleasing stand-up comedian wherever he performs. This long-haired father of 2 started his performance career playing music in bands, he has smoothly made the transition to this demanding solo discipline. He has performed with people who have performed with the likes of Louis C.K., Patton Oswalt, Russell Peters among others. The ability to perform edgy material or squeaky-clean allows him to maximize his opportunities and fit into any situation.
