Danya

"Danya" is based around lead singer and keyboardist Danya Powell. The 18 year-old songwriter has been gifted by God to produce lyrics that are beyond her years. Danya has been leading worship at different churches for 6 years, and has been performing around the Nashville area in the last two years, headlining at venues such as Rocketown and the Muse. She leads worship for girls, women, and youth conferences and retreats, including conferences with Proverbs 31 Ministries and Revive Our Hearts Ministries. Danya's first EP "Everything's Changing" was released in 2007, and in January 2008, the EP was updated and released as a self-titled album. Danya is now in the process of recording a new EP entitled "In a Heartbeat." The music of this artist is passionate and real, and the lyrics are worth something. Her goal is to spread the message of God's love and His life-saving Gospel. Being a part of one of Danya's concerts is not just about listening to the music, but also being able to worship. Danya has played on stages with Delirious?, Decyfer Down and Alabaster Box, and opened for artists including Me in Motion, Kronicles, Jessie Daniels, and Denver and the Mile High Orchestra.
