Biography

My music is inspired by the loves, stories and experiences that I have had the good fortune to have had throughout my life.

My greatest songwriting influences come from a lot of years listening to the likes of James Taylor, Vince Gill, The Eagles and basically anything with a country rock edge to it.

Because I'm not a young and up and coming star in the making I have time in the industry on my side. The players in my 4 piece band are all professional players and all have been using the music industry for a living for most of there life as well,
so with the wealth of playing experience behind us, makes the band a very tight unit indeed.

My initial idea was to record an album so I would have some evidence that I could actually write a song that people might like, but as it turned out, the songs on the album sounded pretty damn good (even if I do say so myself) so in saying that I have taken the initiative on behalf of myself and "Facin' the Crowd" to see if anyone else around the world might like to hear what we have done with these songs.
Even though we might be a band of middle aged men, I know for sure we still have something to offer.

Lyrics

Skeletons (in my closet)

Written By: David Burger

Skeletons (in my closet)
Chorus
Skeletons in my closet they’re not buried yet
They’re digging up old memories time will not forget
Skeletons in my closet, trying to bring me down
Unless I lay them all to rest they’ll always be around

Verse
All my life I’ve been mistaken, about our good old family tree
It’s filled with all kinds of deceptions they kept away from me
There’s been more than one occasion; that has left me with no doubt little secrets held a lifetime; will surely be found out

Chorus
Skeletons in my closet there’re not buried yet
They’re digging up old memories time will not forget
Skeletons in my closet, trying to bring me down
Unless I lay them all to rest they’ll always be around

Middle 8
Every family seems to have a few
They’ve been around a while they’re nothing new
But when you’re face to face what will you do
Do you take them on or do you loose

Solo

Chorus
Skeletons in my closet they’re not buried yet
They’re digging up old memories time will not forget
Skeletons in my closet, trying to bring me down
Unless I lay them all to rest they’ll always be around
They’ll always be around
You know they’ll always be around

All These Memories Of Mine

Written By: Darby Burger/Geoff Wilkes

Verse 1
The sun comes up
I can smell the scent of pine cones on the morning breeze
And it takes me back, to a memory somewhere in my past
To a place we used to go just you and I alone
Walking through the forest together

Verse 2
The sun goes down
And the smell of that ocean breeze is floatin' through my mind
And there we are, sitting on a beach just killin' time
We were so happy you and I, underneath that bright blue sky
Feelin' all the waves dancing' at our feet

Chorus
All these memories of mine, they mean more to me than you'll ever know
I hold them close here in my heart, and they'll be there till it stops beating

Solo

Bridge
Sometimes these memories, beautiful memories
Are all it takes to make me smile

Verse 3
The sun comes up
And it shines it big bright light upon a brand new day
And here am I, still dreaming' of a life thats pasted us bye
If that's the way it's meant to be, then that's good enough for me
You'll always be my love my shinning light

Chorus
All these memories of mine, they mean more to me than you'll ever know
I hold them close here in my heart, and they'll be there till it stops beating

Chorus
All these memories of mine, they mean more to me than you'll ever know
I hold them close here in my heart, and they'll be there till it stops beating
beating, All these memories of mine.
