Those who have heard Daria's vocal abilities claim that she, at age sixteen, can rival that of Faith Hill and can do so, as well, in a few more languages (Italian, Spanish, French). In 1999, at the tender age of twelve, she won a Catholic Teacher's Association Award for best poem in her second language, French. This is also when she started writing her material which was later set to music.
Her collection of ballads and soft rock songs - along with her Latin favorite "Dance with Me Tonight" have inspired her to pursue a singing career, feeling that the stage is a natural place where she can develop her talent and win hearts.
Her debut album is dedicated to a few known singers, past and present, just as Diana Krall and Cindy Lauper have successfully promoted old standards. In Daria's case, she aims to make her own compositions future standards.
Even though her singing style is different from her preferred listening variety, Daria likes to tune in to alternative genres (Muse) as well as jazz and exotic movie scores (Gladiator, Lord of the Rings).
Voice & music training might take her to other heights and opera may be an option as well. Nevertheless, she feels that time is on her side, and she will keep on pushing for the big time.
