Drawn to the piano at age two, questioning the nature of life and death
at age four, composing by age eleven - Daria Black was an enigma from
day one.
No longer that precocious child, this singer, songwriter, producer, and
multi-instrumentalist has fashioned a deeply profound breed of Indie
Pop. Her music is inspired by acts like Muse, The xx and Radiohead, as
well as her extensive background in classical music and film scoring.
Her soft, velvety vocal draws you into her intricate and ethereal
arrangements, where she builds the perfect sonic backdrop to the
narratives she explores about love, unity, mental health, and
philosophy. Amongst all the sophistication, her lyrics and melodies are
undeniably catchy.
Daria’s live act has taken the LA scene by storm. In her first few
months of performing, she played the House of Blues, the 626 Golden
Streets festival, The Satellite, and many more established venues. Not
only does her performance show potential, her debut single, “Mind Heart
Body,” was an instant hit among indie blogs and playlists. With an EP
(entitled: Changing) on the way, devoted fans, and support from LA
