"DARIC FORREST: “LET YOU KNOW” – A WINNING FUSION OF OLD-SCHOOL R&B AND CONTEMPORARY URBAN SOUNDS"

Daric Forrest AKA Styles, who signed to J Tizzle Muzic/Affluent Records/Sony/Orchard, recently dropped the smooth RnB single “Let You Know”, produced by J Tizzle for J Tizzle Muzic. The track is filled with satisfying, soul-drenched warm-bath verses that will please his fan base. The result is a winning fusion of old-school R&B and contemporary urban sounds.

Daric uses his expressive, intimate voice with great intelligence. He is capable of eliciting emotion where his contemporaries tend to overdo or undersell. The song is built less upon radio-ready hooks and more on groove, texture and the sincerity of Daric Forrest’s delivery. That said, this well-crafted single would do very well on the airwaves.

It is hard out there today for the true classic R&B singer. But Daric Forrest is one of those classic R&B singers who haven’t succumbed to the gimmicky new school rules; he has conquered it, and aspires to conform to the contemporary R&B style, his own way. - Tuneloud

Bio

Daric Forrest, who comes from a family with 14 siblings, began noticing his love of music at the tender age of 3, and started singing along to songs that came on the radio. Living in Michigan during this time of his childhood, he began gracing the stage at school talent shows, and quickly started finding his niche with his stage presence, vocal delivery, and development as an artist.

As the years progressed, Daric began finding his flair with songwriting. This quickly lit a fire under him and he began to book talent shows and contests around South Bend, IN. Which helped get his name out among the music scenes he was gracing. He started winning the contests very frequently, which lifted his confidence to expand his horizons and get his music out to anyone willing to listen, no matter where he ended up.

After living in some of the bigger US cities, he eventually ended up in Atlanta where he caught his first break when he ran into Cameo's lead singer, Larry Blackman; who offered to take Daric on the road with him and his band. And this is when Daric began breathing new life into his career in music. Daric made appearances at the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame in Cincinnati in 2000, the Stone Family Picnic in 2001 in Washington DC, the Arts and Crafts Festival in Boston, among many more.

Daric performed in Vegas 5 times (3 times alongside the B52s, and the other 2 with War), and also performed at Synergy Fields in Ohio in front of a crowd of 70,000. He appeared on the Tom Joyner Morning Show (which aired on 109 different radio stations), and has also performed with and opened for many major acts such as Lakeside, The Dramatics, Will Downing, Jonathan Butler, Aretha Franklin, and also performed in front of the cast for All My Children and General Hospital.

Daric has also had the pleasure of working with Stevie Wonder, Outkast, SOS Band, One Chance (Usher's Group), and is currently working with TY and Morgan Westbrook at Blackhole Studios in Hollywood, CA. He is currently working on a new album.
