Darmata is a band that thrives on performance. Like a vampire needs blood, this band feeds off the energy of fans and concert goers. With a style that is occasionally compared to Red Hot Chili Peppers, 311, and Rage, Darmata has the style of Funk Rock that lingers in the head long after the show.

For the love of music! That's why we are all here. The powers that be have tried to limit the freedom of expression. But as long as there is music, there will be an outlet to speak your mind.

For Darmata, each song has some form of lyrical crying out. Whether it be metaphorical, or straight to the point, Josh Delmar considers himself to be a poet with a clear message of unity and love. He has a unique hip hop style, and it seems to fit perfectly within the musical styling of Darmata.

Duffy's bass lines drive the sound of the band, and Cletus' guitar riffs are funky and trippy at times. Everything is brought together by Noah's drums, and Darmata's style leaves a lasting impression. Though the band is mostly original, they tend to play cover songs by bands that fit their style. Songs by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sublime, Bob Marley, 311, Rage Against The Machine, and even some rocking Hip Hop covers by Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and more.

Darmata has a great passion for what they do. Being a band for almost 5 years, they have performed hundreds of times for thousands of people. They have performed in almost every good venue in the Chicagoland area. All money raised through gigging has gone directly back into the promotion, recording, and future endeavors of the band. The music industry has changed drastically, and there are millions of bands out there. Darmata has no doubt that they are one of the best, and will take on any chance to prove it.
