Darnell Andre Grady

Born in Wilmington, NC, Darnell has been surrounded by music all of his life. His mother played and sang in church when he was growing up in church. From elementary school, Darnell learned to play the clarinet and later the trumpet. He did not discover his singing abililty until college after a friend suggested he try out for the University Choir after hearing him at a group talent show. The rest is history. Darnell plays the piano and keyboard by ear. He is now studying music to help him read and write better.

Currently Darnell is working on a CD project entitled"Beside the Still Waters", a inspirational collection of Darnell's diverse style of classical, jazz, comtemporary gospel, blues, and hip-hop rolled into one package.....

Darnell credits his musical drive to his biggest fan and biggest critic his lovely wife,soulmate, and "rib", . She has told Darnell for years follow his dream. He also thanks his two sons for "giving him the big head" Darnell knows that there is no limit to his ability and thanks God daily for his gifts. His grandmother was a poet and artist and his mother still sings and plays. Darnell credits their genes for his ability to compose, sing, and play. He is dedicating this CD to the memory of his father Robert E. Grady who he promised to "never give up on the destiny God has already laid out."
