"Here come songs from elsewhere"

Darrell Arnold makes music in the tradition of Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band, John Hiatt or Randy Newman.

His songs are pure American. With his pristine, at times raw and always emotional vocals, Arnold offers stories showing the divese sides of the American Dream... - NRW Bielefeld

"Shitkicker and Cowboysurfer"

...Arnold has it, that connection with the public. And they love it.... And yet, amidst the jokes..., he can tell stories about the sadness in the world. He really can do that, especially with his voice, which in the lower registers sounds like the Crash Test Dummies... - Hildesheim Allgemeine Zeitung

"Star Potential"

This guy has star potential! (Jack Douglas [John Lennon, Cheap Trick, Aerosmith producer]: Comments at the Northeast Music Organization Conference in Boston) - Unpublished

Bio

The Cologne-based, American-German band, Darrell Arnold and the Buffalo Fish, make authentic American-influenced music of a sort seldom found in Europe. Reminiscent of bands like Hootie and the Blowfish or The Crash Test Dummies, they make music for adults, or kids with great taste – timeless rock, without a lot of frills, played with lots of rhythmic variation. It's fun music. It's thoughtful music. And its the kind of music that doesn't wear old easily. In Europe Arnold has done concerts with Eric Burdon, Canned Heat and The Yardbirds, including The Yardbirds October 2003 tour. He has played festivals with Alvin Lee and Joe Cocker. With an earlier band, he also received national recognition in Germany for CD production of the year in 2002. The Buffalo Fish is his new German-based band: Klaus Marner, Sven Franssen and Guido Lehmann are seasoned musicians from the Cologne blues and rock scene. They have worked in well-known Cologne and German projects -- and for well over 20 years. Guido Lehmann, on guitar, had his own major label contract in the 90s with Lehmann Live. He has worked with members of BAP, one of Germany's legedary rock bands and he has regularly played with diverse roots rock and blues projects. He currently also plays in The Swamptones, one of Germany's premiere Zydeco bands. Klaus has done studio work with Wolf Maahn's band, members of ESL and other well-known Cologne acts, and he has loads of live experience. He is considered one of Cologne's most versatile and interesting drummers. Finally, Sven is also a versed live and studio musician, who has worked in jazz, blues, soul and rock bands. May Queen is just one of his earlier bands.
