Datadrip were born in a pub in Dublin, mid 2009. Fueled by mostly mutual musical tastes the duo set about trying to make music they wanted to hear. Since then this has developed into a style of Alt-Electro that's become their own. The results have been 'Early Takes' a collection of their earlier songs released in February 2010, and six months later an EP, 'Works', some of which can be heard on this site and is available for free download at http://datadrip.bandcamp.com. Tracks from this EP have received airplay on Phantom FM, 2FM, Radio na Life, and 2XM. Their live set contains a multitude of synths, guitars, samplers and mid-song instrument swapping, and since playing live for the first time at HWCH '10 has gained them positive reviews in Hot Press. 2011 has so far seen them play Whelan's Ones to Watch festival, and feature on the Glastonbury emerging talent longlist. They are currently working on their debut album due for release Autumn 2011.
