Date Nite

Date Nite was conceived on a foggy morning in San Francisco when pirate radio and dance DJ Annie Sloan met performance artist and vocalist Candy Matthews on a film set. After swapping music notes between takes the two began rehearsing as “Date Nite”. Within two months they were touring Berlin dive bars with their raucous Pagan-Scifi electronic showcase. Upon returning to the States the girls hooked up with electronic musician and Berklee grad Trey Courtney, and ever since have been performing as a three piece roving band of dance floor misfits. Their shows are likely to include live video mixing, costumes, glockenspiels, catchy lyrics, irresistible syth lines and ass shaking, bone crushing bass. Their Stateside shows this year include stops at San Francisco venues Hemlock Tavern, Rickshaw Stop, and Triple Crown. Their debut EP and music video are due out this December ‘09.
