he initiated a series of mixtapes that revealed his sound of more laid back arrangements paired with song and raps, a style far from the up-tempo Florida vibe where his roots rested. By his late teens, he embarked on a run of new mixtapes, called “Rooky Veteran, HuH!” and “The Maturation” that can be found on Datpiff.com and LiveMixtapes.com. At this point DG left home and returned to the streets in support of his career.


A musical prodigy cut from the same cloth as one of hip hop’s alumnus MC “Kooley C” Dat Guy AKA DG is far-from-novice, one of the newest editions to the Rap/Pop and R&B subgenre. This songwriter, rapper / producer talents were born under the influence of his father, producer and Artist Kooley C, who has worked with Lil Wayne, Pitbull, T-pain, Dainty
Kane just to name a few. Kooley C introduced young DG to Multi-Platinum Grammy Award winning Producer- Songwriter Jim Jonsin and producer Hit Dent, Jim Jonsin gave young DG his first Motif-keyboard. Gradually coming into his own as a producer, DG extended his skills by mastering the beat machine and learning to play a variety of instruments that includes the violin, tuba, guitar, drums, piano, and the base.


Currently DG hit singles “Going Down” ft. Snoop Dogg, “Between Her”, and “Take her to trial” can be heard in clubs and over radio waves spinning in the south. DG “DatGuy” is currently working with Grammy Award winning Producer- Songwriter Jim Jonsin and Rico Love, putting in endless nights, with his production team Music Medics aka "The Medics"
