"Artist Report"

DAVARI ABSTRAKT...difficult to categorize, easy to listen to, and impossible to put down. This LA boy knows music, and adds something from almost every genre into his songs. Ranging in influences from Tchaikovsky to Timberlake, he lays down tracks with an R&B flow while throwing in some great classical guitar twists in songs like 'Collide' and 'Best Friend'. It's as if he's the gateway drug introducing people from every different culture to everything else. An amazingly talented musician, he creates masterpieces one after the other. He just has some great songs on here, and you need to check them out...now.

"Head of Music Industry Studies - Cal State University of Northridge"

"An impressively produced album that blends together elements of traditional songwriting with more contemporary forms such as rap/hip hop. Mr. Davari's implementation of rhythmic conceptualizations not usually found in Western music adds an exceptional element of interest to his tracks. An inventive and creative musical statement."

"Album Review"

Davari Abstrakt takes elements of dance/pop ala Timberlake, blends them with ethnic instruments and outside the box instrumentation choices, along with hip/hop sense, and has come up with a generous helping of 17 satisfying tunes in his CD, "Motif". Davari has a singing voice that could easily be compared to George Michael without the acrobatic vocal drama that comes with it - instead, Davari delivers the song coming off the street - relating and communicating. The first track, "Tonight", has a flamenco guitar supported bed underneath Davaris vocals and steady medium beat. Track 2, "Crazy", is a good example of the fusion Davari is doing with hip-hop and pop. Track 5, "Roll with Me Ft. Iodine", is a pure dance hip/hop mover. Vocal production is creative and from several directions and timbres. Hard to believe that they are all the same guy, but they are. Our favorite tune is "Best Friend" - the dark groove begins with nylon string guitar and the lyrics describe the uncontrollable emotion of love as Davari describes falling in love with his girlfriend's best friend. The guitar work is beautiful. The final track, "Creative Expression", is a tribute to Davari's music - proclaiming his destiny to perform, write, record, and deliver music to all. We look forward to more.

Bio

Davari Abstrakt is a man with a true passion for songwriting, a unique approach and a visionary. Taking elements of his versatile influences, jam packed into a collage of contradictory pieces that will leave you compelled to figure out where this guy came from?!

Running rampant through the streets of LA with songs that have been described as "haunting," seemingly crossing genre lines into a blurry cascade of experimented commercially viable brilliance. The diversity of his music stems from his vast, somewhat random influences. "Mozart, 2pac, Muse, Michael Jackson, Queen, Mos Def, Al Green, Frank Sinatra, Metallica are just some of the artists that defined my inspiration." He has filled out venues and open mics, rocking sets at The Viper Room, The Canyon Club, The Good Hurt, The Roxy and shared the stage at The Universal Amphitheatre, performed at UCI, UCR, CSUN and many more! He opened up for Hip-Hop icons, KRS-One and De La Soul.

Currently working on projects stemming from many different directions including his own hybrid of R&B/HipHop/Rock/Pop/Flamenco /Acoustic melodic madness. His upcoming LP set to be released on a major label displays rich arrangements of melodies that dig deep into your core and kick the free will out of your imagination. You would think he's stealing harmonies from your mind and haunting your soul with uncontrollable grooves. Stay close.
